For disabled

Disabled IconDisabled visitors don't have it easy in Prague as in many areas there is still a lack of suitable facilities. But every day more and more restaurants and hotels and other attractions are introducing disabled access.

Prague is wheelchair accessible, unfortunately the facilities are somewhat limited. With respect to your needs we can help you rent wheelchairs and also specially adapted cars.

We prepared for you 2 basic guided tours:

Tour A: Prague Castle - Barrier free

Prague Castle, St.Vitus Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, Palace of Lobkowic, Church of St.Roch, The Royal garden, Belveder

Terrain
In view of the sloping terrain it is more convenient to begin the route at Pohořelec, where there is a freely accessible car park. From here it is possible to continue downwards in the direction of Prague Castle. The route comes to end in Na Opyši street, which runs into Klárov, where parking is possible. All the courtyards of Prague Castle and Kralovská zahrada (the Royal Gardens) are completely barrier-free with a suitably adapted surface. There are two stairs by the entrance gate to the gardens. The barrier-free entrance is on the right-handside.

The terrain of Strahovské nádvoří (the Strahov Courtyard), Zlatá ulička (the Golden Lane) and part of the streets of Jiřská and Na Opyši is particularly unsuitable. The biggest problem here is the historical paving and the steep terrain. We recommend an escort for this route.

Trip B: Old town - Barrier free

Municipal House, House at the Black Madonna – Museum of the Czech Cubism, Church of St. Jakob, Old Town Hall, Estate Theatre

Terrain
The terrain on the route is, by and large, straight and without any incline. As regards easy access for the disabled, the historical paving in the street of Týnská, the Ungelt courtyard and part of the Old Town Square cause the greatest problems. There is no ramp onto the pavement on Pařížská street at the crossroads with Kostečná, which is roughly 5 cm high. Similarly, there is no ramp at the widened footpath in front of Staroměstská radnice (the Old Town Hall).
